1. About This Platform

The AFSF Thematic Platforms · Community of Practice (“the Platform”) is operated by the African Food Systems Forum (AFSF) to connect partner organisations working across Africa's food systems. By creating an account or submitting a join application, you agree to these Terms of Use.

2. Membership & Eligibility

Membership is organisation-based. An organisation applies and nominates one or more representatives who receive individual accounts. Access is granted at AFSF's discretion following review by the relevant thematic platform co-chair. AFSF may suspend or remove accounts that misuse the Platform or violate these terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Platform only for legitimate collaboration, resource-sharing, and networking related to AFSF's thematic platforms. You may not upload unlawful, infringing, or misleading content, attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, or use the Platform to send unsolicited commercial communications.

4. Content You Contribute

Resources, event details, and other content you upload remain your organisation's property. By publishing content on the Platform, you grant AFSF a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and distribute it to other members and, where marked public, to site visitors. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to share what you upload.

5. Account Security

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

6. Availability & Changes

AFSF aims to keep the Platform available and accurate but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features, thematic platforms, and these terms may change as the Community of Practice evolves; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided on an “as is” basis. AFSF is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Platform or reliance on content shared by other members.
